The numbers drawn were 13, 23, 31, 42 and 44 with Euro numbers 2 and 5. One of the lucky winners came from Bavaria in Germany, while the other became the first player from Hungary to ever land the Eurojackpot top prize. Eurojackpot chairman Andreas Kotter said: “Congratulations to the winners. We are sure that Valentine’s gifts will be a bit more sumptuous this year.”

As well as the two jackpot winners, two German participants and another ticket holder from Finland matched all five main numbers plus one Euro number to scoop €568,323 each. On a great night for players across Europe, there were 814,497 prizes won in total. The jackpot will now reset to €10 million for the next draw this Friday night.

There were plenty of other huge prizes up for grabs around the world over the weekend, and in Canada the Lotto Max jackpot of CA$60 million was won by a lucky player from Quebec. The numbers drawn were 11, 16, 19, 22, 24, 38 and 41 with Bonus Ball 48, and the ticket is thought to belong to a couple from Chicoutimi-Nord.
