Newtownabbey Woman Steps Forward as Latest UK EuroMillions Winner

Mary Hamilton has come forward as the most recent UK EuroMillions winner. The 65-year-old Newtownabbey resident kept the winning ticket in her pocket for over a week without realising that she had the key to a fortune worth £12.9 million!

Mary scooped her massive windfall in the draw held on Friday 7th November, where she and a French ticket holder split a jackpot worth £25.8 million (€33 million). After having her ticket checked at the local filling station a week later, she had to sit down while the news rippled through the shop and across town. For a breakdown of the results from that draw and all the recent EuroMillions draws, visit the Results page at Euro-Millions.com.

Both Mary and her husband Alexander worked for a furniture shop, Bannons, as payment collectors. Now, they want to use the winnings to help their family, their former customers, charities and others in the community. First on the list of purchases is a mobile phone, which will hopefully be followed by a new dog.

Want to beat the odds and join the ranks of Mary and all the other National Lottery millionaires? You’ll need to buy some tickets first! EuroMillions is offering a top prize of £34 million (€42 million) tomorrow night and on Saturday, Lotto will continue its birthday festivities with a double rollover jackpot of £10 million, 50 Lotto Raffle prizes worth £20,000 and 20 special prizes of £1 million each. It’s going to be an incredible weekend, so make sure you pick up EuroMillions tickets before 7.30pm GMT (8.30pm CET) on Friday and Lotto tickets before 7.30pm GMT on Saturday. Good luck!
