Lottery Results for Saturday 5th September, 2015

The first Saturday night of September gave players multiple opportunities to win big. As is usually the case, the Powerball game boasted the largest prize of the night, with a colossal $133 million up for grabs. No player won that prize, but there were plenty of big winners elsewhere, with jackpots landed in both the UK Lotto and Australian Saturday Lotto games, and hefty consolation prizes won right across the board. The lottery results for Saturday 5th September, 2015, were as follows…

Lottery Results for Saturday 5th September, 2015

UK Lotto

24 – 29 – 33 – 40 – 43 – 49 Bonus Ball: 22

When all six main numbers were drawn in the UK Lotto game last night, the fact that they were all quite high gave quite a few players reason to think that the jackpot would roll over, but that wasn’t the case. Instead, one ticket matched all of the main numbers drawn to take down a jackpot worth £5,006,137, whilst two tickets won a second tier prize of £199,793 each by matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number. There were over 195,000 winning entries in total, and another 50 players won £20,000 each in the associated Lotto Raffle game. The jackpot in the next game on Wednesday 9 September will now be worth an estimated £2 million.

Irish Lottery

07 – 09 – 17 – 20 – 26 – 27 Bonus Ball: 40

Last night’s Irish Lottery game was the first under a new set of rules which require players to select 6 numbers from the range 1 to 47 instead of the previous range of 1 to 45. No ticket matched all six main numbers that were drawn, and no ticket matched five plus the Bonus Ball number, but 45 entries won €928 each by matching five main numbers only. Another 55 tickets matched four main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win €191 each, and more than 51,000 entries won smaller prizes. There will now be a jackpot of around €6 million for players to pursue in the next game on Wednesday.

SuperEnalotto

24 – 30 – 36 – 42 – 71 – 86 Jolly: 32 SuperStar: 26

A jackpot of €14.1 million awaited any player who could match all six main numbers in the SuperEnalotto game last night, but no ticket managed to do that. The second prize tier was also absent of winners, but nine tickets won €25,411 each by matching five main numbers. Another 584 tickets won €402 each by matching four main numbers, and there were 21,830 entries that won their owners €21 each for matching three main numbers. Over 41,000 prizes were also won by successful SuperStar entries, and the next game on Tuesday 8 September will offer a multi-rollover jackpot worth around €14.5 million.

Powerball

10 – 16 – 18 – 29 – 45 Powerball: 19

Two of the main numbers that were drawn in last night’s $133 million Powerball game (the numbers 18 and 29) had appeared exactly one week previously, but that didn’t help anyone to match all of the numbers needed to land the jackpot. The good news is that two tickets matched five main numbers only to win their owners a life-changing consolation prize of $1 million each, and there were nine more tickets that matched four main numbers plus the Powerball to win $10,000 each. Over 445,000 standard entries won smaller prizes, and the total number of Power Play prizes won exceeded 59,000. There will now be an even bigger jackpot of around $149 million to play for in the next game on Wednesday.

Australian Saturday Lotto

05 – 13 – 27 – 31 – 37 – 42 Supplementary Numbers: 18 and 30

There was an extra special jackpot worth AU$21 million up for grabs in the Australian Saturday Lotto game this week, and the good news is that 28 tickets matched the six main numbers needed to win a share of that prize. Each of those winners can now claim a very worthwhile AU$750,000, and another 191 tickets won their owners AU$7,847 each by matching five of the main numbers plus one of the supplementary numbers. More than 1.34 million prizes of lesser value were won across the lower divisions, and the jackpot in the next game on Saturday 12th September will now revert to its usual base value of around AU$4 million.
