Lottery Jackpots Roll Worldwide

Winning a lottery jackpot always requires a huge slice of luck, and anyone who has ever doubted that should take a look at the results of the most popular lottery games that took place over the last few days, because jackpot rollovers were abundant. All of the lotteries that we focus on in our weekend round-up of results saw their jackpots roll over, but the good news is that there were plenty of consolation prizes landed in each of those games. Here’s how things unfolded…

Lottery Jackpots Roll Worldwide

11 – 19 – 38 – 42 – 46 Euro Numbers: 03 and 09

Both of the Euro Numbers that were drawn in the most recent game on Friday night had also been drawn exactly one week earlier, but that didn’t help anyone to match all of the numbers required to win the jackpot of around €10 million. A single ticket came very close by matching all five of the main numbers and one of the Euro numbers, and the lucky owner of that entry won a life-changing second tier prize worth €1,018,326. Another three tickets won €119,803 each by matching the five main numbers only, and more than 440,000 prizes were won across the lower tiers. There will now be a jackpot of around €14 million for players to pursue in the next game on Friday 23rd October.

07 – 28 – 29 – 43 – 48 Lucky Stars: 03 and 10

There was a brand new jackpot worth €15 million awaiting lottery players who could match all seven numbers in the Friday EuroMillions game this week, but nobody was able to do that. Two tickets won €672,571 each by matching five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers, and one ticket matched five main numbers only to win a third tier prize worth €448,381. The prize for matching four main numbers and both Lucky Stars, which was landed by 42 tickets, was €5338, and over 2.12 million prizes were won by tickets matching fewer numbers. The jackpot in the next game on Tuesday 20th October will be worth around €21 million (£15 million).

Mega Millions

02 – 38 – 48 – 61 – 68 Mega Ball: 04

Mega Millions players were chasing a jackpot worth $84 million on Friday, and they will be chasing even more in the next game after no player matched all six of the numbers drawn. A single ticket won $1 million by matching all five main numbers without the Mega Ball, and another 19 entries matched four main numbers plus the Mega Ball to win $5,000 each. The total number of prizes won was in excess of 1.24 million, and Mega Millions fans will now have a jackpot of around $93 million to try and win in the next game on Tuesday.

48 – 49 – 57 – 62 – 69 Powerball: 19

The prize for matching all six of the numbers drawn in this week’s Saturday night Powerball game was an impressive $80 million, but no ticket entered for the game managed to win that prize. A second tier prize of $1 million was landed by a single ticket that matched the five main numbers only, and the third tier saw 11 tickets win $10,000 each by matching four of the main numbers and the Powerball. The total number of prizes won by standard entries was in excess of 408,000, and more than 107,000 Power Play entries also won prizes. There will now be a jackpot of $90 million to play for on Wednesday 21st October.

UK Lotto

08 – 30 – 37 – 40 – 46 – 50 Bonus Ball: 36

Two consecutive rollovers since the new UK Lotto rules were introduced helped the jackpot to reach a value of just over £12 million for last night’s draw, but once again no player could match all six main numbers. Two tickets won £54,061 each at the second tier by matching five main numbers as well as the Bonus Ball, and there are 56 tickets that matched five main numbers only to win £2,032 each. More than 1.45 million prizes were won in total, and one player won £1 million by matching the Lotto Millionaire Raffle number JADE 9008 3964. The next game on Wednesday will now offer a triple rollover jackpot worth an estimated £14.4 million.
