Lottery Jackpot Excitement Soars!

Excitement about the prospect of winning a lottery jackpot is soaring as the top prizes in some of the world’s most popular games continue to rise. Over the last couple of days, players have pursued a jackpot of €50 million in the EuroJackpot game, $60 million in the Powerball game and £32 million (€42 million) in the EuroMillions game. To find out what happened in each of those games – as well as in the Mega Millions and UK Lotto games – read on…

Lottery Jackpot Excitement Soars!

EuroJackpot

10 – 16 – 31 – 37 – 40 Euro Numbers: 03 and 09

EuroJackpot players were in hot pursuit of a top prize worth €50 million on Friday night, but none of the tickets entered for the game were able to match all of the numbers needed to win it. The second tier saw two tickets match all five main numbers and one of the Euro numbers to win €931,858 each, and three other entries won a third tier prize of €219,260 each by matching the five main numbers only. There were 36 tickets that matched four main numbers and one Euro number to win €6,090 each, and more than 802,000 entries won smaller prizes. There will now be a jackpot of around €61 million for EuroJackpot players to try and win in the next game on Friday 18th March.

EuroMillions

01 – 21 – 26 – 40 – 43 Lucky Stars: 06 and 09

Matching all five main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars that were drawn in Friday’s EuroMillions game would have secured a jackpot worth £32.7 million (€42.1 million), but no player was able to achieve that feat. There were three tickets that fell short by just one Lucky Star, and each of those won a second tier prize of £370,015 (€503,810) by way of consolation. Another five tickets won £74,003 (€100,761) each by matching the five main numbers only, and over 2.25 million entries landed lesser sums by matching fewer numbers. The next EuroMillions game on Tuesday 15th March is now expected to offer a jackpot worth around £38 million (around €49 million).

Mega Millions

14 – 18 – 48 – 54 – 71 Mega Ball: 13

A jackpot worth $15 million was up for grabs in the latest Mega Millions game, and even more will be on offer next time thanks to no player being able to land that prize on Friday. On a more encouraging note, there was one ticket that succeeded in matching all five of the main numbers that were drawn, and the owner of that particular entry can now claim the life-changing prize of $1 million. The third tier saw 15 tickets win $5,000 each by matching four of the main numbers as well as the Mega Ball number, and over 995,000 entries won smaller prizes at the lower tiers. The estimated jackpot for Tuesday’s Mega Millions game is $20 million.

Powerball

11 – 28 – 50 – 57 – 62 Powerball: 23

The Powerball jackpot on Saturday night was worth $60 million, but none of the tickets entered for the game proved able to match all six numbers that were needed to win that sum. The second tier was also vacant of winners, but 10 tickets matched four main numbers plus the Powerball number itself to win a third tier prize of $50,000 each. There were more than 415,000 winners at the lower levels, and over 113,000 Power Play entries also won prizes. The next game on Wednesday 16th March will now offer a jackpot worth an estimated $70 million.

UK Lotto

13 – 21 – 30 – 39 – 51 – 56 Bonus Ball: 01

Five rollovers in a row helped the UK Lotto jackpot to reach a final value of £18.3 million last night, but the sequence of rollovers didn’t stop there so there will be a sextuple rollover jackpot for players to pursue in the next game. A single ticket matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win £100,152 at the second tier, and more than 1.32 million tickets won smaller prizes. Another 20 Lotto Raffle prizes of £20,000 each were landed, and one player matched the Lotto Millionaire Raffle number LIME 3858 3193 to win £1 million. The midweek jackpot on Wednesday is now expected to be worth around £20 million.
