The New Year got off to an exciting start for EuroMillions players, with the first draw of 2014 boasting a multi-rollover jackpot that weighed in at €116 / £96 million. The bad news is that no player was able to match all seven of the numbers drawn, and so the jackpot rolled yet again. If you haven’t yet checked your tickets you might want to do so now as we present the EuroMillions results for Friday 3rd January, 2014…

Seven lucky tickets were able to match the five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers to secure a second tier prize worth €326,662 / £226,781 each. That is a fantastic prize to win at the beginning of a new year, so well done to all of the players involved.

The third tier saw nine tickets match five main numbers only to win €84,690 / £58,795 each, and 105 tickets won €3,629 / £2,519 each by matching four main numbers and both of the Lucky Stars. The total number of prizes won in the game was 3,772,597, and you can see the full prize schedule by visiting the EuroMillions Results page at Euro-Millions.com.

EuroMillions Plus fans who were hoping to match all five of the numbers drawn last night to win a life-changing prize of €500,000 were as disappointed as jackpot-hunters in the main EuroMillions game. Once again, the consolation prize tiers came to the rescue, delivering a prize of €2,000 to each of 77 tickets that matched four numbers and €20 to each of 3,005 tickets that matched three numbers.

The EuroJackpot results for Friday 3rd January were 01, 16, 34, 36 and 37, along with the Euro numbers 04 and 06. None of the tickets entered for the game matched all of those numbers, so the €15 million jackpot rolled over and the next draw will offer a top prize of around €17 million. Three tickets matched the five main numbers and one Euro number to win a second tier prize of €254,435 each, and more than 345,000 tickets won lesser amounts by matching fewer numbers.

Tonight’s lottery jackpots give players another chance to win big before the first week of the year comes to an end. The Powerball jackpot will be worth around $60 million, the SuperEnalotto game will offer an advertised jackpot of €22.7 million and the UK Lotto game is getting players excited with a quadruple rollover jackpot of around £13.7 million. Check back here tomorrow and we will bring you up to speed with all of the news from those games – and more – in our usual round up of the Saturday night lottery results.
