Search Continues for £26 Million UK Lotto Winner

The search is still on for a lucky UK Lotto ticket holder who scooped a £26.1 million jackpot on Wednesday 19th October. The mystery online winner matched the numbers 2, 3, 4, 32, 54 and 59 to win the hefty eight-figure sum, but is yet to make contact with National Lottery officials.

Players are being encouraged to log in to their accounts in order to track down the winner and unite them with their prize. Online ticket holders receive email notifications of wins, but some account holders may not have up-to-date contact details or might not yet have checked their inboxes. In a press release, Andy Carter, the National Lottery’s senior winners’ adviser, said: 'We urge all players to check their tickets to see if they have a life-changing £26.1 million jackpot waiting for them.” All Lotto players must claim any winnings within 180 days of the draw, meaning that the clock has already started ticking for the latest jackpot victor to come forward.

This year has certainly been one to remember for Lotto fans, with a number of huge prizes being won by lucky ticket holders. “This is the sixth player to bank a jackpot of more than £20 million this year and continues Lotto's extraordinary run of millionaire making,” said Carter. He was also keen to pass on his best wishes to the soon-to-be millionaire: “Congratulations to another big Lotto winner in 2016.”

The latest UK Lotto winner follows in the footsteps of Hawick couple David and Carol Martin, who shared a record £66 million jackpot with an anonymous ticket holder from Worcester in the draw on Saturday 9th January. Lotto lovers didn’t have to wait long for another colossal jackpot to come along in the shape of a £35.1 million prize on Wednesday 6th April. One lucky player successfully secured the windfall and, in doing so, ensured that they entered into UK lottery folklore as the winner of the largest single ticket prize in Lotto history.

If you’re sure that you’re not the winner of the £26.1 million prize, why not have another crack at landing the jackpot in Wednesday night’s draw? To be in with a chance of claiming an estimated top prize of £5.8 million, purchase your tickets online or from any authorised retailed across the UK. Best of luck!
