UK Players Land Big EuroMillions and Lotto Jackpots

It was a weekend to remember for UK National Lottery players, as two eight-figure jackpots were given away in the space of 24 hours. First, a single ticket holder landed a EuroMillions prize of £14.5 million on Friday night, and then another participant matched all six main Lotto numbers on Saturday to win £15.3 million.

A UK player had also been successful in the previous EuroMillions draw, sharing £39.9 million (€47.1 million) with a Belgian ticket holder. The jackpot reset to its minimum value for the game on Friday, and the UK’s winning run continued as the numbers 19, 25, 33, 36 and 48, with Lucky Stars 2 and 9, were drawn.

The UK National Lottery has announced that claims have already been made for the winning EuroMillions tickets, from both the Tuesday and Friday games, and it will now be a case of validating their wins and finding out whether the lucky players want to share their story or remain anonymous.

The Lotto jackpot had not been won since Saturday 28th January, but one player managed to bring the run of five rollovers to an end to bag the biggest prize of 2017. The numbers drawn were 11, 13, 21, 37, 49 and 59, with Bonus Ball 4, and more than 1.3 million ticket holders were able to pick up prizes.

The UK’s success is set to continue in the coming days, with Mega Week offering a Hawaiian holiday to EuroMillions players on Tuesday and Friday. The EuroMillions jackpot stands at £14 million for tomorrow night, while there will be a £2 million Lotto prize on Wednesday.
