Spanish Lottery Ticket Wins EuroJackpot

The biggest lottery success of the last few days was achieved in Spain, where one player matched all of the numbers required to win a jackpot worth €31.57 million. Elsewhere, the EuroMillions game offered a jackpot worth €24 million, Mega Millions players were pursuing a top prize worth $65 million, and Powerball fans had a jackpot of $60million to pursue. Meanwhile, in the UK, the Lotto game had its first draw since the introduction of new rules on Thursday 8 October. To find out what happened in all of those games, read on…

EuroJackpot

13 – 14 – 23 – 26 – 31 Euro Numbers: 03 and 09

A series of jackpot rollovers in previous draws meant that the top prize in Friday’s EuroJackpot game weighed in with a final value of €31,579,233, and we are pleased to report that a single ticket purchased in Spain matched all seven of the numbers that were needed to win that sum. Another single ticket won a second tier prize worth €1,295,619 by matching all five main numbers and one of the Euro numbers, and over 627,000 smaller prizes were won at the lower levels. The jackpot for the next game on Friday 16th October has been reset and will now be worth €10 million.

EuroMillions

01 – 40 – 42 – 43 – 47 Lucky Stars: 09 and 11

The EuroMillions game this Friday offered a jackpot worth just over €24 million (£18 million for players in the United Kingdom), but no ticket purchased for the game was able to win that prize, and so it rolled over for the second draw in a row. One ticket purchased in the UK won £1,059,101 by matching all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Stars, and six tickets matched five main numbers only to win €78,223 (£58,838) each. More than 1.76 million tickets won smaller prizes, and the next jackpot on Tuesday 13th October will be worth an estimated €30 million (£22 million).

Mega Millions

08 – 09 – 21 – 63 – 75 Mega Ball: 14

A jackpot with an advertised value of $65 million awaited any player who could match all five main numbers and the Mega Ball number in the latest Mega Millions game, but unfortunately nobody succeeded in achieving that feat. Three tickets matched the five main numbers only to win $1 million each at the second tier, whilst 25 tickets won a third tier prize of $5,000 each by matching four main numbers plus the Mega Ball. Over 1.12 million prizes were won by entries matching fewer numbers, and the jackpot in the Mega Millions draw on Tuesday will be worth around $75 million.

Powerball

12 – 27 – 29 – 43 – 68 Powerball: 01

The Powerball draw on Saturday boasted an advertised jackpot of $60 million, and the next one will offer an even bigger jackpot thanks to no ticket matching all six numbers. There was one ticket that matched the five main numbers only to win its lucky owner a life-changing consolation prize worth $1 million, and nine tickets matched four main numbers as well as the Powerball to win $10,000 each. Over 360,000 entries won smaller prizes, and more than 92,000 Power Play entries also won prizes. There will now be a jackpot of around $70 million for players to chase in the next game on Wednesday 14th October.

UK Lotto

02 – 03 – 16 – 32 – 53 – 54 Bonus Ball: 08

The UK Lotto draw last night was the first since new rules came into force on Thursday, and the jackpot had a final value of £5.27 million. No player won that prize, but one ticket matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to win £120,570, and another 61 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £2,080 each. There were over 1.66 million prizes won in total, and a special Lotto Millionaire Raffle draw created 25 winners of £1 million each, whilst a standard Lotto Raffle draw awarded a prize of £20,000 to each of 20 winners. The next Lotto game on Wednesday will now offer a rollover jackpot worth an estimated £7.7 million.
