Powerball Jackpot Continues Climbing

The biggest lottery jackpot on offer over the last few days was in the Saturday night Powerball game, where the impressive sum of $214,800,000 was up for grabs. No player was able to win that prize, and so the Powerball jackpot continues to snowball as it heads towards the next game. The jackpots in several other recent games also rolled over, but one game delivered its top prize to a single winner. Read on and we’ll reveal which game that was, and the all-important numbers that made it happen…

EuroJackpot

10 – 12 – 28 – 29 – 49 Euro Numbers: 03 and 04

The top prize in the EuroJackpot game on Friday was worth €24 million, but none of the tickets entered for the draw proved able to match the seven numbers that were needed to win it. One ticket matched all five of the main numbers plus one of the Euro Numbers to win a second tier prize worth €1,189,732, and another two tickets won €209,952 each by matching the five main numbers only. There were 42 entries that won a third tier prize of €3,332 for each of their owners, and over 594,000 tickets won smaller prizes. There will now be a jackpot worth an estimated €31 million in the next game on Friday 26th February.

EuroMillions

13 – 14 – 30 – 32 – 39 Lucky Stars: 03 and 09

EuroMillions players were just seven numbers away from landing a jackpot worth £19 million (€24 million) in the latest draw on Friday, but none of the participants succeeded in getting all of those numbers on a single ticket, so the top prize rolled over to the next game. A single ticket won €1,424,950 by matching the five main numbers and one Lucky Star, and five other tickets matched the five main numbers only to win €94,997 each. There were more than 2.36 million prizes won across the lower levels, and the jackpot in the next draw on Tuesday 23rd February will be worth around £23 million (around €31 million).

Mega Millions

02 – 27 – 41 – 50 – 75 Mega Ball: 04

The jackpot in the Friday Mega Millions lottery game was worth $104 million, but unfortunately no player proved able to land that sum. There were no winners at the second tier either, but the third tier saw 19 tickets win $5,000 each by matching four main numbers plus the Mega Ball number. Over 1.28 million tickets won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers, and there will now be a multi-rollover jackpot of around $114 million for players to pursue in the next Mega Millions draw on Tuesday.

Powerball

11 – 12 – 15 – 16 – 54 Powerball: 25

As we said at the beginning of this news item, the jackpot in the Powerball game rolled over once again. The good news is that no fewer than six tickets won a prize of $1 million each by matching five main numbers only, and the third tier awarded a prize of $50,000 to each of the 29 players who matched four main numbers plus the Powerball. There were over 735,000 prizes won by standard entries, and more than 164,000 Power Play entries also won prizes. The jackpot in the next Powerball game on Wednesday 24th February is now expected to be worth around $236 million.

UK Lotto

02 – 17 – 35 – 41 – 57 – 59 Bonus Ball: 42

A rollover in the midweek UK Lotto draw helped the jackpot to reach a final value of £6,726,199 for the Saturday night draw, and we are pleased to report that a single ticket scooped that prize by matching all six main numbers. There were no winning tickets at the second tier prize level, but 60 tickets won a third tier prize of £1,698 each by matching five main numbers only, and over 1.24 million smaller prizes were landed at the lower levels. A brand new jackpot in the next UK Lotto game on Wednesday should – according to official estimates – be worth around £2.2 million.
