Lottery Results for Saturday 9th August 2014

Lottery players had plenty of life-changing sums to get excited about last night, and in several of the games played that excitement translated to jackpot-winning success. The biggest jackpot that was landed last night was in the Powerball game, where one ticket matched all six of the numbers drawn to win its owner the sum of $90 million. The top prizes were also landed in the UK Lotto, Health Lottery and Australian Saturday Lotto games, with millions of consolation prizes being picked up across the board. The lottery results for Saturday 9th August, 2014, were as follows...

UK Lotto

16 – 36 – 40 – 43 – 45 – 47 Bonus Ball: 10

A midweek rollover helped the UK Lotto jackpot to reach a final value of £7,087,472 for the Saturday night game, and one ticket won the entirety of that sum by matching all six of the main numbers drawn. Five tickets matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win £89,639 each, and another 153 tickets won £2,487 each by matching five main numbers only. There were more than 204,000 prizes won in total, and the Lotto Raffle game created 100 winners of £20,000 each. The complete prize schedule for the Saturday night UK Lotto game can be found by visiting the Results page at Lottery.co.uk.

Irish Lottery

11 – 12 – 19 – 21 – 43 – 45 Bonus Ball: 09

Two of the main numbers that were drawn in the Irish Lottery game last night had also been drawn exactly one week earlier, but that didn’t help anyone to win the €2 million jackpot that was up for grabs. One ticket matched five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number to win a second tier prize worth €25,000, and there were 38 tickets that won €1,641 each by matching five main numbers only. More than 33,000 tickets won smaller prizes at the lower levels, and you can view the full breakdown of those by visiting the Results page at IrishLottery.com. The jackpot in the next game will be worth an estimated €2.5 million.

Health Lottery

07 – 10 – 17 – 23 – 27 Bonus Ball: 37

The Health Lottery game boasts a top prize of £100,000 for any player who matches all five of the main numbers that are drawn, and that prize figure remains the same no matter how many people succeed. There were three such players last night, and more than 45,000 other tickets won consolation prizes worth up to £10,000 each by matching fewer numbers.

SuperEnalotto

09 – 10 – 26 – 53 – 68 – 72 Jolly: 60 SuperStar: 66

An extended sequence of consecutive rollovers helped the SuperEnalotto jackpot to reach an advertised value of €20.4 million for the game played last night, but none of the entries purchased for the draw were able to match all six of the main numbers drawn, so the jackpot rolled over yet again. There were no second tier winners either, but seven lucky tickets matched five main numbers only to secure a third tier prize worth €34,619 each, and over 35,000 smaller prizes were won by tickets matching four or three main numbers. Over 43,000 SuperStar entries also won prizes, and the jackpot in the next SuperEnalotto game on Tuesday 12th August will be worth around €20.8 million.

Powerball

03 – 12 – 31 – 34 – 51 Powerball: 24

A short but useful series of jackpot rollovers helped the top prize to weigh in at $90 million for last night's Powerball game, and one ticket that had been purchased in Colorado won that sum by matching the five main numbers plus the Powerball. Five tickets won their owners a huge consolation prize of $1 million each by matching five main numbers only, and over 365,000 tickets won smaller consolation prizes by matching fewer numbers. More than 78,000 Power Play entries also won prizes, and the next Powerball game will offer a brand new jackpot worth $40 million.

Australian Saturday Lotto

23 – 26 – 27 – 30 – 31 – 41 Supplementary Numbers: 16 and 38

There was a special jackpot of AUD$21 million up for grabs in the Australian Saturday Lotto game this week, and we are pleased to report that eight tickets matched the six main numbers required to win it. That will give each of the winning players a multimillionaire-making share of the spoils worth AUD$2,625,000. Another 142 tickets matched five main numbers and one of the supplementary numbers to win AUD$9,948 each, and 2,448 tickets won AUD$1,245 each at Division 3 by matching five main numbers only. There were over 1.1 million prizes landed at the lower levels, and the next game on Saturday 16th August will offer a regular sized jackpot of around AUD$4 million.
