Lottery Results for Saturday 31st May 2014

The last night of the month gave lottery fans every possible incentive to renew their efforts to win big, and there were quite a few jackpots standing by for those who succeeded. The biggest jackpot of the night was in the Powerball game, and the top prize there was worth an advertised $173 million. The Irish Lotto jackpot had been estimated to be worth around €11.5 million, the SuperEnalotto game offered a top prize of €7.2 million and the UK Lotto jackpot was advertised to be worth around £4.3 million. To find out what happened in each of those games and more, read on for our concise round-up of the lottery results for Saturday 31st May, 2014…

UK Lotto

07 – 09 – 18 – 24 – 39 – 40 Bonus Ball: 04

The UK Lotto jackpot was worth £3,885,318 last night, and although that wasn't quite as much as the £4.3 million that had been estimated, it will no doubt be perfectly adequate for the owners of the two tickets that managed to win it. Each of those tickets is now worth £1,942,659 after matching all six main numbers, and another eleven tickets are worth £28,193 each after matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number. Over 313,000 prizes were won in total, and you can see exactly how those prizes were distributed by visiting the Results page at Lottery.co.uk.

Irish Lottery

02 – 03 – 06 – 20 – 27 – 32 Bonus Ball: 33

The Irish Lottery jackpot weighed in with a final value of €11,444,582 last night, and it will be worth the even bigger sum of around €12 million on Wednesday thanks to no player matching all of the main numbers. Three tickets matched five of the main numbers and the Bonus Ball to secure a second tier prize of €25,000 each, whilst 77 tickets matched five main numbers only to win €1,245 each. There were over 61,000 consolation prizes won in total, and you can view the complete breakdown of those by visiting the Results page at IrishLottery.com.

Health Lottery

03 – 04 – 23 – 40 – 48 Bonus Ball: 10

Health Lottery players only have to match five main numbers to win a top prize of £100,000, and one ticket succeeded in doing just that last night. Consolation prizes are also available for anyone who matches two or more main numbers, with or without the Bonus Ball number, and we can report that over 9,000 such prizes were landed in the latest draw.

SuperEnalotto

01 – 06 – 07 – 10 – 14 – 56 Jolly: 16 SuperStar: 49

SuperEnalotto players were hoping that last night would bring them the same kind of success that had been enjoyed a week earlier by the owner of a single ticket that matched all six number to win the jackpot. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, and no ticket was able to win a second tier prize either. There were 39 tickets that matched five main numbers only to win €6,874 each, and more than 80,000 prizes were won at the lower consolation levels. More than 53,000 SuperStar entries also won prizes, and the next SuperEnalotto game on Tuesday will now offer a jackpot with an advertised value of €7.6 million.

Powerball

15 – 27 – 31 – 34 – 48 Powerball: 01

Powerball players had an advertised jackpot of $173 million to try and win in the game last night, and plenty of participants had a go at doing that. Unfortunately, none succeeded, but more than 547,000 tickets won a consolation prize of some kind. The biggest consolation prize was worth $1 million, and that went to each of six players who matched the five main numbers only. Another 29 players matched four main numbers plus the Powerball to win $10,000 each, and all other winning tickets landed smaller prizes. The advertised jackpot for the next Powerball game is $192 million.

Australian Saturday Lotto

01 – 13 – 20 – 26 – 37 – 45 Supplementary Numbers: 22 and 27

Regular players of the Australian Saturday Lotto game might have noticed that three of the main numbers and one of the supplementary numbers drawn last night had also appeared exactly one week earlier. Anyone who played those numbers won AUD$19.55 each for their trouble – and possible even more if they managed to match other numbers too. The supplementary numbers weren’t needed to win the jackpot itself, and six tickets matched the six main numbers to share the handsome figure of AUD$4,123,623. There were more than 573,000 prizes won in total, and the next Australian Saturday Lotto jackpot will be worth an estimated AUD$4 million.
