Friday's £107 Million EuroMillions Jackpot Winner Revealed as Neil Trotter

The very lucky EuroMillions jackpot winner from Friday’s draw has come forward to claim his £107 million (€129 million) win. Named as Neil Trotter from Coulsdon, Surrey, the amateur racing driver is now the fourth biggest UK lottery winner and the 745th richest person in the UK.

Stepping forward with Nicky Ottaway, his partner of eight years, Trotter claimed his life-changing prize in his home town earlier today and spoke about his win. Trotter, 41, was driving to work on Friday morning when he had a feeling that he needed to play EuroMillions. Not knowing the value of the jackpot, Trotter stopped and purchased five Lucky Dip tickets for that night’s draw from his usual newsagent.

The feeling paid off for Trotter and, checking his ticket that evening, he found out that he had matched the winning numbers to take home the £107 million (€129 million) jackpot. Turning “white as a sheet”, the couple kept checking the numbers to see if they had actually won. Trotter phoned his dad to tell him about his win, with his dad replying, “What have you been drinking?”

Both have resigned from their jobs and plan to splash out on a countryside home, with enough room for a horse, and two new cars. In addition, Trotter plans to help out his family and friends including his younger sister who Trotter said “has been struggling lately.”

When asked why he came forward to claim the prize, Trotter said “I didn’t just want to disappear and hide…I didn’t want to be deceitful to all my friends. I thought it would be easier to tell everyone and get it out in the open.”

Congratulations to Neil and his partner, the WorldLottery.net team hopes you enjoy your new found fortune.
