Finnish Eurojackpot Player Wins €41.5 Million Jackpot

Finland enjoyed more jackpot success in Friday’s Eurojackpot draw as one lucky player scooped the top prize of €41.5 million. The ticket was bought in Savonlinna in the east of the country and the town is now set to be treated to a spectacular firework display by Finnish national lottery operator Veikkaus.

Eurojackpot offers gigantic jackpots, starting at €10 million and rising as high as €90 million, every Friday night. The top prize had been climbing for four consecutive draws prior to the game on 20th October, but was finally cracked as a single participant matched all five main numbers and both Euro numbers.

Winning Eurojackpot Numbers

The numbers drawn were 1, 10, 25, 46 and 49, with Euro numbers 1 and 6. The winner has already received the good news and the money will be paid within the next three weeks. Finland can now boast 15 Eurojackpot winners since the game was launched in 2012, making it the most successful country after Germany (23 jackpots).

Eurojackpot awards great prizes besides the jackpot, and four players landed €435,251 on Friday night after matching five main numbers plus one Euro number. The winners in the second tier came from Germany, Norway, Spain and Sweden.

More than 720,000 other prizes were given away in total, including six ticket holders who won €102,512 for matching five main numbers.

Next Jackpot

The jackpot will now reset to €10 million for the next draw on Friday, with players able to take part via authorised retailers in any of the 18 participating countries or by choosing numbers online.
