EuroMillions Results for Friday 17th January 2014

The fifth EuroMillions game of the year gave players the chance to win a double rollover jackpot worth €33 / £27 million, and the sixth game will boast an even bigger jackpot of around €40 / £33 million because no ticket was able to match all seven numbers that were drawn last night. The good news is that more than 2.4 million tickets won consolation prizes, so if you haven’t yet checked your entries you may want to do so now as we present the EuroMillions results for Friday 17th January, 2014…

EuroMillions Plus: (13) (21) (23) (29) (37)

Joker: 7 627 662

The biggest consolation prizes were won at the second tier level last night, where two tickets matched all five main EuroMillions numbers plus one of the Lucky Star numbers to take down a prize of €805,957 / £577,348 each. Eight tickets matched the five main numbers without either of the Lucky Stars to win €67,163 / £48,112 each, and 37 tickets made each of their owners €7,260 / £5,201 richer by matching four main numbers and both Lucky Star numbers. The total number of prizes won was 2,405,885 and you can see the full breakdown of the sums landed at each tier by visiting the EuroMillions Results page at Euro-Millions.com.

The EuroMillions Plus draw didn’t do any favours for Irish Lottery players who were hoping to win themselves a Friday night prize of €500,000, so it was left to the second tier to create the game’s biggest winners. There were 57 tickets that matched four of the five numbers to win €2,000 each, and 2,320 tickets that matched three numbers won the smallest prize of €20 each.

EuroJackpot players didn’t have any luck in winning the €10 million jackpot that was on offer last night, so there will be a bigger jackpot of €11 million to play for on Friday 24th January. The EuroJackpot results on Friday 17th January were 04, 07, 17, 25 and 29, and the Euro numbers were 02 and 04. There were three tickets that matched the five main numbers and one Euro number to secure a second tier prize worth €120,140 each, and more than 406,000 consolation prizes were landed at the lower levels.

Looking ahead to tonight’s lottery draws, the Powerball game is advertising a very attractive jackpot of $113 million, the SuperEnalotto game has around €25.7 million up for grabs and Irish Lottery players have around €3.5 million to pursue. Good luck if you intend to participate in the games mentioned and remember to check back here tomorrow for the latest results!
