EuroMillions Jackpot Keeps Soaring As Eurojackpot Is Won

Millions of players across Europe sensed an opportunity to pick up sensational prizes on Friday night as both EuroMillions and Eurojackpot offered colossal jackpots. A lucky ticket from Finland secured €90 million on Eurojackpot, but there was a rollover in EuroMillions and the top prize will now climb to £121 million (€138 million).

EuroMillions

Friday’s winning EuroMillions numbers were 22, 31, 36, 38 and 44, with Lucky Stars 1 and 11. One player from the UK matched five main numbers plus one Lucky Star to pick up £1.1 million, but the jackpot remained just out of reach.

The top prize has still not been won in 2018, having most recently been claimed on Friday 29th December when an Irish family syndicate scooped €38.9 million (£34.5 million). It now stands at its highest amount since someone from Spain won €190 million on 6th October to equal the record for the largest jackpot.

Eurojackpot

While EuroMillions can keep growing up until it reaches a maximum of €190 million, Eurojackpot had already reached its jackpot cap of €90 million. It was the fourth time in history that it had hit its limit, and on this occasion the winning ticket belonged to a syndicate of five players from Loimaa, in the south west of the country.

The numbers drawn on Friday were 7, 8, 24, 34 and 46 with Euro numbers 4 and 8. As well as the jackpot winner, there were also eight players who matched five main numbers plus one Euro number to bag €3.5 million each.

The Next Big Winner?

The Eurojackpot jackpot will reset to €10 million for the next draw on Friday, while EuroMillions continues to grow. Fans of both games will be dreaming about becoming the next big winner, and you can take part by going to any authorised retailer or picking numbers online.
