EuroMillions Hits £112 Million As Lotto Jackpot Is Won

A thrilling week for UK lottery fans will continue on Friday night with a £112 million (€129 million) jackpot up for grabs in EuroMillions, just days after the year’s biggest Lotto prize was given away.

The Lotto jackpot had to be won on Wednesday after soaring past its £22 million cap. Nobody managed to match all six main numbers, so the full prize of £25.5 million was rolled down to the next tier in which there were winners. Two lucky players matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball to pocket £12.7 million each, while over 1.1 million participants picked up prizes altogether.

As the Lotto jackpot resets to an estimated £3.3 million for Saturday night’s draw, attention will now turn to EuroMillions on Friday. One of the largest jackpots in the history of the game is available following a run of 12 rollovers, opening up a host of opportunities for any lucky winner. They would be able to live the luxury lifestyle, buying several new properties and cars, as well as providing financial security for loved ones.

The last time a bigger jackpot was won was on Tuesday 11th October, when a Belgian participant bagged €168 million. There have been seven winners so far in 2017, but anyone who matches all five main numbers and both Lucky Stars on Friday would instantly become the most successful EuroMillions player of the year.

As excitement builds across the nine participating countries, fans of the game can give themselves a chance of winning by either choosing numbers online or visiting any authorised retailer.
