Spanish Ticket Wins EuroMillions Jackpot

A single Spanish ticket won the top prize in the EuroMillions game on Friday night, giving the nation its second jackpot winner of the month. The previous win for Spain came in the first EuroMillions game of the month, on Tuesday 2nd February, and the jackpot on that occasion was worth €15 million (£11.37 million). In the latest draw, on Friday 26th February, the amount landed was also €15 million (around £11.8 million). Spanish lottery fans have certainly had plenty to celebrate in February, but so have quite a few players in other nations, so read on and we will bring you up to speed with the latest developments elsewhere…

Spanish Ticket Wins EuroMillions Jackpot

EuroJackpot

09 – 11 – 19 – 42 – 45 Euro Numbers: 07 and 10

EuroJackpot players were hot on the trail of a multi-rollover jackpot worth €31 million last Friday evening, but once again the top prize managed to evade everyone. Five tickets were able to win a substantial second tier prize of €270,193 each by matching the five main numbers and one Euro number, and another ten entries won €47,681 each after matching the five main numbers only. A fourth tier prize of €4,966 was won by each of 32 tickets that matched four main numbers as well as both Euro numbers, and more than 561,000 tickets won lesser sums. The top prize in the next EuroJackpot game on Friday 4th March will be worth around €40 million.

EuroMillions

05 – 13 – 15 – 33 – 50 Lucky Stars: 09 and 11

As we said at the head of this news item, Spain landed the jackpot in the EuroMillions game on Friday, but there were plenty of consolation prizes won too. The biggest of those were landed at the second tier, where four tickets matched all five main numbers and one Lucky Star to win £260,731 (€364,156) each. Another 18 tickets won £19,313 (€26,975) each at the third tier by matching the five main numbers only, and 46 entries matched four main numbers as well as both Lucky Star numbers to win a fourth tier prize worth £3,778 (€5,278) each. More than 2.58 million consolation prizes were won in total, and there will now be another brand new jackpot of €15 million (around £11 million) to play for in the next game on Tuesday 1st March.

Mega Millions

03 – 15 – 19 – 62 – 74 Mega Ball: 14

A jackpot worth $125 million was the advertised reward for anyone who could manage to match all five main numbers plus the Mega Ball in the latest Mega Millions game, but no player succeeded in achieving that feat. No ticket was able to win a second tier prize either, but 24 entries won their owners $5,000 each by matching four main numbers and the Mega Ball, and over 1.27 million tickets won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers. The jackpot for the next Mega Millions game on Tuesday will be worth an estimated $135 million.

Powerball

10 – 11 – 21 – 22 – 53 Powerball: 18

The Powerball lottery game on Saturday night offered the biggest jackpot of all, and it will do the same next time because nobody won the $266 million that was up for grabs. There were three tickets that succeeded in matching all five of the main numbers to win a cool $1 million each, and at the third tier 29 tickets matched four main numbers plus the Powerball itself to win $50,000 each. The supersized jackpot led to a high number of tickets being sold, and that translated to over 820,000 prizes being won by standard entries, and more than 181,000 by Power Play entries. The estimated value of the jackpot for the next game on Wednesday 2nd March is $292 million.

UK Lotto

11 – 14 – 22 – 37 – 53 – 56 Bonus Ball: 55

UK Lotto players were six main numbers away from winning a rollover jackpot worth £6.6 million last night, but none of the participants succeeded in doing that. Three tickets won a second tier prize of £33,009 each by matching five of the main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and another 53 entries won £1,966 each by matching five main numbers only. There were more than 1.39 million prizes won in total, and in addition, one UK player won £1 million by matching the Lotto Millionaire Raffle number, which was NAVY 3917 5002. The jackpot in the midweek Lotto game on Wednesday will now be worth around £8.6 million.
