EuroJackpot Landed in Finland!

Lottery players around the world have enjoyed another exciting few days, but the most excitement was experienced in Finland, where one ticket was able to bring down the top prize in the EuroJackpot game. Elsewhere, the jackpots weren’t quite as forthcoming, but all of the main games delivered plenty of consolation prizes, and a few of those were big enough to positively impact the lucky winners for quite some time! Read on and we’ll explain exactly what happened and how…

EuroJackpot Landed in Finland!

EuroJackpot

03 – 19 – 26 – 29 – 36 Euro Numbers: 04 and 09

EuroJackpot players were pursuing a jackpot with a final value of €19,379,323 on Friday night, and as we said in our opening remarks, we are pleased to report that a single ticket which had been purchased in Finland matched all of the numbers needed to win that sum. Another single ticket won €1,134,075 at the second tier by matching the five main numbers and one Euro number, and a single ticket at the third tier matched the five main numbers only to win €400,262. More than 509,000 entries won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers, and there will now be a brand new jackpot of €10 million on offer in the next game on Friday 29th January.

EuroMillions

10 – 12 – 27 – 30 – 47 Lucky Stars: 08 and 09

A jackpot worth £79 million (€104 million) awaited any player who could match all seven EuroMillions numbers on Friday, but none of the participants proved able to do that. The good news is that eight players matched all five main numbers and one of the Lucky Star numbers to win £193,348 (€259,149) each, and 13 tickets won a third tier prize worth £39,661 (€53,159) each by matching the five main numbers only. The total number of prizes won across the lower levels exceeded 3.57 million, and the jackpot in the next game on Tuesday 26th January will now be worth an estimated £87 million (around €115 million).

Mega Millions

21 – 25 – 40 – 46 – 56 Mega Ball: 03

The Mega Millions jackpot had climbed to $39 million by the time Friday’s draw took place, and it will be worth even more next time thanks to no ticket matching all six of the numbers that were drawn. There were no second tier prize winners either, but 16 tickets won their owners $5,000 each at the third tier by matching four of the main numbers as well as the Mega Ball number. Over 1.11 million entries won smaller prizes across the lower tiers, and the jackpot in the next game on Tuesday is expected to be worth around $48 million.

Powerball

22 – 32 – 34 – 40 – 69 Powerball: 19

A top prize with an advertised value of $60 million was up for grabs in the Powerball game last night, but no player was able to match all five main numbers as well as the Powerball number itself. The second tier was also vacant of winners, but 14 tickets matched four of the main numbers plus the Powerball to secure a third tier prize worth $50,000 each. There were more than 3 million smaller prizes won by standard entries, and over 2.65 million Power Play entries also won prizes. There will now be an estimated jackpot of around $75 million for players to try and win in the next game on Wednesday 27th January.

UK Lotto

08 – 09 – 10 – 11 – 41 – 54 Bonus Ball: 24

Three consecutive rollovers helped the UK Lotto jackpot to reach the impressive value of £14.23 million last night, but none of the tickets entered for the game could win that sum. Two tickets won £53,790 each by matching five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball number, and another 89 tickets matched five main numbers only to win £1,272 each. The total number of consolation prizes landed exceeded 1.92 million, and one lucky player landed a prize of £1 million by matching the Lotto Millionaire Raffle number GOLD 2895 1924. The advertised estimated value of the jackpot for the next game on Wednesday is £16.6 million.
