The Australian Powerball jackpot has reached AUD $70 million after seven rollovers and is the second largest prize in the lottery’s history. The biggest jackpot in Australian Powerball history was AUD $80 million, which was split between two winning tickets on 30th July 2009.

No one scooped the AUD $50 million jackpot in the draw held on Thursday 14th August and so the stage was set for yet another massive first-division prize for the draw on 21st August. However, the draw did produce 20 second-division winners who snapped up AUD $63,589 each for matching six main numbers.

An additional 208 ticket holders matched five main numbers and the Powerball to win AUD $6,396 each. The remaining players won amounts between AUD $13.65 for matching two main numbers plus the Powerball and AUD $174.50 for matching five main numbers.
