Irish Lottery up to 5 million

Despite a French ticketholder scooping the €42 million Euromillions Lottery rollover, Lottery players have plenty to be excited about this week. The Irish Lottery is up to €5 million for tonight’s lottery draw as a multiple rollover has pushed the jackpot up week by week. Double up for Lotto Max Maxmillions

Another week without a jackpot winner has meant a double up for Lotto Max Maxmillions with this Friday’s now worth an estimated $76 million. That of course potentially means that there will be as many as 26 Maxmillions draws, creating many millionaires on Friday evening. Last weekend the Lotto Max had reached Maxmillions stage, yet despite high interest in the lottery draw, no players matched all seven winning numbers in the main draw.

101 million lottery jackpot

We’ve been following the SuperEnalotto Italy for weeks now as the jackpot climbs higher and higher. As it’s climbed, ticket sales has risen but still no one has matched those six winning lottery numbers to scoop the SuperEnalotto Italy jackpot. Well now it’s a €101 million lottery jackpot as it crossed the milestone last weekend. UK National Lottery plans flawed

A few weeks ago we brought you lottery news that the UK National Lottery company were attempting to turn the lottery terminals into pay points. The move would have seen lottery players able to pay bills and buy mobile phone top-ups while they bought their lottery tickets. However, the National Lottery commission who regulate the lottery have branded the UK National Lottery plans ‘flawed’ and has refused the request by the lottery operators.

Mega Millions jackpot grows again

American Lottery players have the luxury of two huge lottery draws to participate in, both the Mega Millions Lottery and Powerball Lottery, however just lately, neither have been growing to the massive jackpots we have become used to. Last night’s Powerball Lottery jackpot was worth just $20 million, the base jackpot for the draw but after Tuesday’s draw the Mega Millions jackpot grows again, up to an estimated $64 million for Friday evening’s draw.

Maxmillions again for Lotto Max

It seems there’s no keeping the Canada Lotto Max down right now, even jackpot winners. The unique way that the lottery draw is played means that just now, even jackpot wins can’t bring the jackpot down to base amount and that means after last night’s draw it’s Maxmillions again for Lotto Max. It was only a couple of weeks ago we saw a $50 million jackpot and 45 Maxmillions draws and although that $50 million was shared by two players, many of the Maxmillions were not won, keeping that jackpot high.

Lottery Commission approves lotto sale

After much discussion and many meetings the Lottery Commission approves the lotto sale today and that means the sale of the UK National Lottery company can go through. The company is being purchased by the Ontario Teacher’s Pension Plan for £398 million in one of the biggest sales the country has ever seen. It’s much welcomed lottery news, we’re sure you’ll agree and now the sale can go ahead.

It has been announced that an extra £50 million worth of lottery funding is to be given to sports from 2012 as a legacy from the London Olympics 2012. The initiative, thought up by the new UK government is designed to improve sports in this country via UK National Lottery funding, but while great news it poses the question ‘Will the lottery give us our next sporting great?’ It’s been over 40 years since we raised the world cup and Fred Perry is all but forgotten to all but English tennis fans so will this make a difference to the sporting talent in the UK?

Wow, we’re almost half way through the week already and what an exciting week it’s going to be, especially with the chance to be a Euromillionaire this weekend on the Euromillions Lottery. Thanks to the fact that there wasn’t any Euromillionaires made last weekend on the popular lottery, this week it’s a £23 million rollover! Euromillionaires is the buzzword at the moment but it didn’t bring UK Lottery players much luck in the draw last weekend, the biggest lottery prize won by a UK player (excluding the Millionaire Raffle) was £6,204.40.

Three winners share the Oz Lotto

We’ve been watching the Australian Lottery for a couple of weeks in our lottery news pages now as rollovers create a monster jackpot on the draw. This week there was an estimated A$50 million up for grabs and a rush on ticket sales pushed that slightly higher than expected. The draw took place yesterday in Australia and three winners share the Oz Lotto, which turned out to be worth a massive A$51 million! The winners each collected over A$17 million each for matching all seven numbers in the Australian Lottery draw with a total of A$74 million given away across all divisions.

Forget the football World Cup, the last few days it’s been more like the World Lottery world cup around here with different lottery draws from every continent seemingly trying to outdo either. Euromillions Lottery rolls over to break trend

After weeks of jackpot winners and not a single rollover, last night the Euromillions Lottery rolled over to break the trend. The winning numbers for the Euromillions Lottery draw are 2 – 29 – 31 – 32 – 38, the lucky stars 1 and 4 but no players in the UK, or across Europe matched all the winning numbers to win the £12.5 million jackpot. Two players share Canada Lotto rollover

With all eyes on the Lotto Max Canada and it’s record breaking jackpot it would have been easy to overlook the fact that the Lotto 6/49 Canada had a double rollover. Thankfully many players still remembered to buy tickets for the smaller draw last night and two players share the Canada Lotto rollover, scooping $5.4 million each. The numbers drawn in last night’s Lotto 6/49 Canada were 2 – 5 – 9 – 20 – 25 – 32. Bonus ball 30, two players matched the main six balls and they share the $11 million jackpot.

Australian Lottery rolls over again

Last week we brought you news of the new Lotto Points from the Oz Lotteries and with that came the news that the Oz Lotto jackpot was up to A$30 million. Well the Oz Lotto draw took place yesterday and the winning numbers are 32 – 8 – 15 – 29 – 10 – 38 – 18, the supplementary numbers were 3 and 39. Despite high-ticket sales, not a single ticketholder matched all the winning numbers and that means the Australian Lottery rolls over again, pushing next week’s estimated jackpot up to A$40 million!
