Delight for UK Players

There is no doubting that 2017 has been an excellent year for EuroMillions players, with UK fans in particular excelling when it comes to claiming the game’s premium prize. The National Lottery’s senior winners’ advisor, Andy Carter, was quick to express his joy as yet another Brit landed the coveted reward: “Just one week after a £15 million winner we now have another UK ticket holder banking a giant EuroMillions jackpot.”

Carter also confirmed that this was the UK’s seventh winner this year and the 70th since the game was first played in February 2004. This latest flurry has seen the island nation tighten its grip on third place in the winners’ table, four clear of Portugal in fourth and 14 behind Spain in second. France still leads the way with 87 wins from a total of 378 victories.

UK rules stipulate that ticket holders have 180 days from the date of the winning draw to collect a prize, however, the latest winner has wasted no time in making contact with National Lottery officials. Once verified, the winner must decide whether or not they wish to go public.

Friday’s EuroMillions Numbers

The jackpot may have been claimed, but that didn’t stop plenty of other players from prospering in the draw. Three players - including one UK entrant -  correctly matched five main numbers and one Lucky Star to secure £223,578 (€356,886)apiece, while there were 14 winners of £11,158 (€17,812) after each player matched five main numbers.

A total of 2,092,930 ticket holders claimed prizes on what proved to be a prosperous night for EuroMillions fans across the continent. The remaining rewards ranged from £2.50 (€4) for matching two main numbers to £1,046 (€1,671) for correctly predicting four main numbers and both Lucky Stars.
