Wrong Shirt Number for Lottery Player

Lottery Ball Pete Colman is football mad and a keen Manchester Utd supporter. The football fan uses his favourite players shirt numbers from the weekend football matches to choose his lottery numbers for the UK National Lottery draw. However a wrong shirt number for the lottery player has cost him a £1 million jackpot as he chooses the wrong David Beckham shirt for his selection.

Mr Colman decided to use the number 23 that David Beckham wears for LA Galaxy for his lottery selection but had he choose the number 17 he wears for England then he would have been celebrating a £1.1 million UK National Lottery win.

He didn’t realise how unlucky he had been even after watching the main lotto draw on the television but a family friend helpfully pointed out the difference the one shirt number might have made if he had chosen the England shirt as opposed to the LA Galaxy one.

Of course the five winning lottery numbers still scooped him a very nice £2,057 which he plans to use to pay off some bills and treat himself to satellite television for his home, meaning he never needs to worry about missing another Man Utd game again!

In the event the £4.7 million UK National Lottery jackpot was shared between three lucky ticket holders who won more than £1.5 million each in the draw and hopefully Mr Colman’s chance will come again as he continues to try and get lucky in the UK National Lottery.

How do you choose your lottery numbers?
