Winning Ticket for Mega Millions bought in 'Liquor' Store

I was reading today in the Associated Press that a winning Mega Millions lottery ticket was bought near Cincinnati in a ‘liquor’ store and is worth a staggering $196 million! A spokesperson for the lottery, Marie Kilbane, said that the ticket was bought at the Main Street Wine & Spirits store in Amelia, South West Ohio. This ticket is the first winning ticket bought in Ohio since the last big win there back in December 2006 which saw the winning ticket bought in Columbus.

The draw, which took place last night, saw just this one ticket scoop the jackpot and 17 players match 5 numbers but not the Mega Ball and they will all now be $250,000 richer as soon as they claim their prizes.

6, 11, 39, 46 and 47 with a Mega Ball number of 26.

Another 69 players where lucky enough to match four numbers in the draw and will each pocket third prize pay outs of £10,000.

Interesting fact stated by one site is that with the prize of $196 million the lucky winner would be able to purchase 49 million gallons of gas, petrol as I would call it!
