Will the UK National Lottery get all Conservative

Before the latest General Election, every political party was having a say on how they thought UK National Lottery money for good causes should be spend. So now we see a change of government, according to the media everything is changing but how will that impact on National Lottery funding, and do you actually care? Now that we have the first Tory government since 1997 will the UK National Lottery get all Conservative and will we see a change in how our lottery money for good causes is spent?
It’s an interesting question and one that should pose an interesting answer. The Labour Party have been in power in the UK since 1997, just a few years after the launch of the UK National Lottery. That means the lottery was in its infancy and for most of the fifteen years since the launch of the UK National Lottery, the government hasn’t changed hands.
Now we see a conservative government, yet despite all their promises and adjustments they would make to lottery funding, nothing has yet been mentioned. They no doubt have plenty of more pressing issues to deal with right now, like the national debt but sooner or later they will get round to making decisions about the UK National Lottery and the funding it makes for good causes.
28p from every £1 lottery ticket sold for the UK National Lottery goes to good causes around the UK so it will be interesting to see what, if anything changes now that we have a brand new government.
