Watchdog Probe for National Lottery

We brought you news last month of how players may not be aware that by playing at the UK National Lottery website from overseas they may be making their lottery tickets invalid. There has been lots in the news and online about it lately and now a watchdog probe for the National Lottery may force them to change their rules and website for good.
The problem is that although the UK National Lottery will allow you to purchase tickets from the lottery website wherever you are in the world, it is actually illegal to play the lotto in many countries. However this is only placed in the National Lottery small print – something very few players actually check – leading lottery players to think that they can actually play from anywhere in the world.

The problem was highlighted last month by a money watching magazine and since then the National Lottery have made it clearer on their website that you cannot play from overseas. However despite that, they are still accepting ticket sales from anywhere in the world leading to this watchdog probe for the National Lottery.
It may happen that Camelot is forced to change the way their interactive website runs but we just wanted to let world lottery readers know that if you are overseas any lottery tickets you purchase on the National Lottery website may be invalid.
If you are overseas, on your holiday or for other reasons you can still play the UK National Lottery online, simply by clicking our link for UK Lotto players overseas and playing through a proxy.
