Waiting for Idaho Mega Millions winner

Mega MillionsWhile the Washington press went crazy over the latest Mega Millions winners, who couldn’t wait to announce themselves as Jim and Carolyn McCullar, the nation is still waiting for the Idaho Mega Millions winner, more than a week after the draw. The jackpot, which was rarely out of the lottery news pages for weeks had reached $380 million and the two tickets from Washington and Idaho shared the jackpot, but as yet only one winner has come forward.

This turn of events has prompted the Mega Millions Lottery to appeal for the winner to come forward and hand over the ticket, so it can be verified and the prize paid out. Every day the lottery winner doesn’t step forward, they are losing interest on the payment and it’s not pennies we’re talking about!

The jackpot was the second largest in the history of the lottery, beaten only by a $390 million Mega Millions Lottery jackpot in 2007 and it may be that the winner is taking time to come to terms with what has happened, or maybe a syndicate are deciding what to do before they step forward.

There could be many reasons why the Idaho Mega Millions winner hasn’t stepped forward, but surely there could be little chance they aren’t aware that they have won? The Mega Millions Lottery has dominated the news and no one could have possibly missed the excitement and the furore about the win. Let’s hope the winner steps forward soon!

In other Mega Millions Lottery news, Friday’s $12 million jackpot rolled over, and that means there’s a massive $20 million to play for tomorrow evening!
