The unnamed church in the Maryland area will now be looking to spend the cash wisely after a $30,000 instant win scratch off ticket was found in the collection plate of the church. Whether you believe in divine intervention or not, there’s no denying this is a very fortunate turn of events for the church who no doubt will be putting the month to good use.

It’s a complete mystery as to who placed the ticket into the collection plate, the pastor has even asked his congregation. Maybe it’s someone who feels guilty about the win, or someone who just genuinely didn’t feel they needed a lottery win as much as the church did.

However the win ended up in the hands of the pastor, he is determined to put the cash to good use. He says some of the cash will be used for the upkeep of the church and to do some vital repairs, but he’s hoping that the biggest chunk of this cash will go to the needy of his parish in Maryland, making the lives of many better.
