Unluckiest National Lottery Winner

UK National Lottery Stuart Pierce of Huddersfield could be considered to be one of the unluckiest National Lottery winners around, thinking he was quids in after matching five of the six available numbers he went to his local post office to cash in his ticket and found he had shared the prize with 750 others, making this one of the lowest payouts for five numbers since the lottery began.

Mr Pierce received just £1,032 from his National Lottery win making him one of the unluckiest National Lottery winners to date and bad luck seems to have plagued him ever since. It was a big National Lottery win he sorely needed as he is currently in a battle with his local Planning Inspectorate over a controversial barn conversion.

Four years ago Stuart Pierce was given permission to convert the barn into a liveable property in the Colne Valley countryside but he is now facing financial ruin and living in a caravan due to a change of heart of the Inspectorate who have decided the barn is ‘too dilapidated’ to convert.

If there was ever a story of someone who could do with a big National Lottery win it’s this gentleman’s but it seems that big blue finger was not pointing quite in the right direction this time and missed its target just slightly.

Draws for the UK National Lottery take place every Wednesday and Saturday, the prize pool for each winning combination depends on the total pool and the amount of winners who match each combination, often leading to huge differences from one week to the next. Tickets can be bought either at Kiosks or online and can be purchased for up to 8 weeks in advance.

I’m sure Mr Pierce will be depending on his lucky numbers for a while yet and from the sounds of things he could really do with a bit of good luck in all areas of his life.
