Unclaimed National Lottery Prizes

I don’t know about everyone else but me personally when I buy a National Lottery ticket then I always watch the draw and check my numbers as they are drawn. I’ve never been lucky enough to win big but have had the odd £10 win and once even managed 4 numbers netting me £75. Not exactly life changing amount of money but not a bad return on a £1 outlay.

So I was really shocked when visiting the National Lottery web page today to see the amount of big prizes still unclaimed. With only six months grace to claim your winnings from the date of the actual draw where are these winners? What has happened to their tickets? Are they kicking themselves for losing them or simply not aware that they hold the winning ticket?

Maybe they don’t want their lives to change or want any publicity. Maybe they are worried that winning the National Lottery will change them as people? Whatever the reason for these prizes being left unclaimed, time is running out on quite a few so they better hurry up!

These are just a few of the prizes still unclaimed that expire and make the winning tickets worthless over the next few months.
