UK Ticket Wins EuroMillions Jackpot

Another EuroMillions jackpot win was secured on Friday night, and once again the top prize was won by a single ticket in the UK. That was the third UK EuroMillions win in the last four weeks, so the nation has had plenty to celebrate in recent games and British players will no doubt be keen to see if their winning ways can continue. Plenty of other prizes were won in the EuroMillions and other games over the weekend, so read on as we take you on a whilstle-stop tour of the highlights…

UK Ticket Wins EuroMillions Jackpot

EuroJackpot

07 – 09 – 28 – 39 – 47 Euro Numbers: 02 and 08

The EuroJackpot game offered the biggest European lottery prize on Friday night, with a jackpot of around €24 million awaiting any player who could match all five main numbers and both of the Euro numbers. The bad news is that no player succeeded in achieving that feat, but the good news is that consolation prizes were landed by more than 611,000 participants. The biggest of those were at the second tier, where four tickets won €289,530 each by matching the five main numbers and one of the Euro numbers. The jackpot in the next EuroJackpot game on Friday 9th October will be worth an estimated €31 million.

EuroMillions

07 – 18 – 21 – 32 – 35 Lucky Stars: 02 and 11

EuroMillions players had seen the jackpots landed in each of the two draws leading up to the most recent game, and that winning trend continued with a single ticket in the UK matching the seven numbers needed to win a jackpot worth €15 million. Five tickets matched all five of the main numbers plus one of the Lucky Star numbers to win €198,040 each, and another nine tickets matched five main numbers only to win €36,674 each. There will now be another brand new jackpot worth €15 million for players to pursue in the next game on Tuesday 6th October.

Mega Millions

04 – 14 – 29 – 31 – 47 Mega Ball: 09

The biggest lottery prize anywhere in the world on Friday night was offered by the Mega Millions game in the USA, where the top prize was worth an advertised $47 million. There was no winner of that sum, but three tickets were able to win their owners $1 million each at the second tier by matching all five main numbers. Another 22 tickets won $5,000 each by matching four main numbers as well as the Mega Ball, and over 1.17 million entries won smaller prizes by matching fewer numbers. The next Mega Millions game on Tuesday will be worth an estimated $55 million.

Powerball

06 – 26 – 33 – 44 – 46 Powerball: 04

A brand new jackpot worth $40 million was available for anyone who could match all six of the numbers drawn in last night’s Powerball game, but no player was able to do that. A single ticket matched the five main numbers without the Powerball to secure a second tier prize worth $1 million, and at the third tier there were 15 tickets that won $10,000 each by matching four of the main numbers plus the Powerball. There were more than 185,000 prizes won at the lower levels by standard entries, and over 47,000 additional prizes were landed by successful Power Play entries. The next Powerball jackpot on Wednesday 7th October will be worth $50 million.

UK Lotto

07 – 08 – 09 – 14 – 35 – 44 Bonus Ball: 04

There was no ticket that matched the six main numbers drawn in the UK Lotto game on Saturday night, so the jackpot – which weighed in at just over £3 million – rolled over. A second tier prize of £60,852 went to each of four tickets that matched five main numbers plus the Bonus Ball, and another 212 tickets won £974 each by matching five main numbers only. Over 316,000 smaller prizes were won at the lower levels, and a Lotto Raffle prize of £20,000 was won by each of 50 winners. The jackpot in the next Lotto game on Wednesday will be worth around £4.3 million, and because is it the last game that will take place with just 49 balls in play (there will be 59 thereafter), the jackpot is guaranteed to be won.
