UK National Lottery Superdraw on Saturday 5th November

The UK National Lottery is set to start November off with a bang as it has announced that a Superdraw is going to take place on Saturday 5th November 2011. The jackpot for this draw is a guaranteed £10 million – so even if the UK lotto jackpot is won before the 5th it won’t change the Superdraw amount as this figure is set. UK National Lottery Superdraws don’t happen very often so if you want to be part of this special draw you have to be in it to win it!
The first ever UK National Lottery Superdraw took place on Saturday 7th January 1995 and it was in fact the 8th UK National Lottery draw. It had a guaranteed jackpot of £10 million, however this draw wasn’t won on the night and it rolled over to the following draw where a massive 133 jackpot winners shared the jackpot prize, setting an all-time record for this lottery.
In contrast to that the first UK National Lottery Superdraw to be actually won on the night happened on Saturday 11th March 1995. The Superdraw jackpot was won by two winning tickets that each spilt the top prize and took home £6.5 million each.
If this particular Superdraw isn’t won on the night, it will then rollover to the following draw. However it is worth noting that the UK Lotto can only rollover a total of four times and if by the fifth time the jackpot amount still remains untouched it will roll down and be spilt amongst the second prize tier winners.
This Superdraw is happening in less than two weeks so make a note of the date now and be sure to check the UK National Lottery results after it takes place to see if you have won a prize. Just think you could really give yourself a bonfire night to remember if you manage to match up all 6 of the main numbers and scoop the Superdraw jackpot!
