UK National Lottery Results for 25th January 2012

UK National LotteryWith the winning streak that has developed in the UK National Lottery, last night many ticket holders for this lottery were hoping that they would become the next jackpot winners. The UK National Lottery results for 25th January 2012 reveal that there were in total 278,667 players that won a prize, but the question is did this winning streak carry on in last night’s draw? The results from this mid-week draw show that in fact the jackpot was won again, this time by two lucky ticket holders who split the top prize that came out at £2,372,608.

In addition to the jackpot winners, there were six other ticket holders who matched five numbers along with the Bonus Ball to each win the second tier prize that came out at £121,672. To add to that over 14,000 players each won £71 by matching four of the numbers drawn, and then the only fixed tier prize in the UK National Lottery, which is £10 was won by an impressive 264,269 players.

The draw machine used in last night’s draw was Merlin, and this particular machine has been used in the past three UK National Lottery draws. In all of these draws the jackpot has been won, so we shall have to wait and see if this machine will be used again in the next UK National Lottery draw and if the top prize will be won again.

Last night’s draw was actually the sixth draw in a row where there have been jackpot winners, so the question is can any players match the UK National Lottery results in Saturday night’s draw, to win the jackpot that is estimated at £4.1 million to make it seven UK National Lottery wins in a row?
