UK National Lottery awards 2010

UK National LotteryWe’re half way through the year already and it’s time for the public to vote on the UK National Lottery Awards 2010. Every week UK National Lottery players raise £25 million for good causes around the UK and this public vote allows lottery players to have their say about how UK National Lottery money is spent. Although most world lottery draws give money to good causes, this public system voting for the UK National Lottery Awards is fairly rare and although it is only a selection of good causes, it does give lottery players a voice into how money is spent.

That’s why you should vote on the UK National Lottery awards and choose your favourite causes to be nominated for lottery cash. It could be a cause close to your heart, or maybe just something in your area but your vote could make a difference.

The three projects from each category with the most votes go through to the final stage of voting to be held between 26th July and 13th of August. The winners of the final vote will compete on the UK National Lottery live show for the lottery grant for good causes.

There are seven categories to choose from and these are:

  • Best Arts project
  • Best Education project
  • Best Environmental project
  • Best Health project
  • Best Heritage project
  • Best Sports project
  • Best Voluntary/Charity project

Voting for the semi-finals of the UK National Lottery awards closes at midday on June 18th so hurry now and get your votes in and choose your favourite project for lottery funding.
