After rollovers and jackpot hikes, lead stories on the world’s news channels and a two-day trending topic on Twitter, the Mega Millions Lottery has finally been won and two share the monster Mega Millions jackpot. The final estimate appears to have been right too as the prize total is announced at $355 million, shared between the two winning players who matched all the winning numbers in last night’s Mega Millions draw. It’s one of the biggest lottery jackpots the world’s ever seen, beaten only by the $390 million shared on the Mega Millions in 2007 and is sure to be hot news for a while yet.
The winning numbers in last night’s Mega Millions Lottery draw, if you haven’t already checked are 4 – 8 – 15 – 25 – 47, Mega Ball 42 and if you matched some of these numbers, you may be one of the big winners of the evening.
Even if you didn’t match all the winning numbers, there were many lower division winners in last night’s Mega Millions Lottery draw. A staggering 67 players each collect $250,000 for matching the five main balls without the Mega Ball and another 323 players will collect $10,000 for matching four main balls and the Mega Ball.
However, it’s the jackpot winners everyone will be interested in today, and they come from Idaho and Washington State. The next Mega Millions Lottery draw will now be held on January 7th and the estimated jackpot for that draw is likely to be around $12 million.
