Time Running out for South Africa Lotto Winner

south-africa-lottoTime is running out for a South Africa Lotto winner as the deadline to claim their R1.5 million prize is fast approaching. The lucky-or not so lucky if the ticket has been lost-ticket holder shared a R3 million South Africa Lotto jackpot last year but as the prize has not been claimed now only has until midnight on Monday 23rd February 2009 to claim their prize.

The ticket was purchased in Pretoria North for the draw on Saturday 23rd February 2008, the winning numbers for that draw-almost a year ago- were 5, 13, 14, 21, 33 and 48, so players really need to root through their draws and other lottery hiding places now as this ticket may be sitting in a long forgotten jacket or bedside draw and one person may be R1.5 million richer and not even aware of it.

There were two winners for the R3 million rand draw and although one has come forward for his share of the jackpot, however the second winner has never come forward and South African Lottery officials are now urging players to check past tickets carefully.

The South Africa Lottery plays twice weekly, it’s known in the country as Lottery 6/49 and as the name implies players must match six from 49 possible numbers to win the jackpot. You can play the South Africa lottery right across South Africa or from anywhere in the world by clicking our easy play links above.
