Summer is well and truly on its way for the Northern Hemisphere and that means many of us are now turning our thoughts to summer holidays abroad. But when you’re packing the passport, remembering the travellers cheques and leaving a key for the house sitter, there’s one thing you won’t want to forget and that’s your lottery tickets. Wherever you are in the world, whichever of the world lottery draws you play in regularly, when you think summer holiday, think lottery tickets or you could miss out on a monster lottery jackpot.

Many lotteries, such as the UK National Lottery now give players options to play online, what they don’t always make clear is that lottery tickets bought overseas are not valid, so make sure you check the rules and just to be safe, buy lottery tickets before you leave.

This is especially important if you regularly play the same lottery numbers, imagine coming back from the holiday of a lifetime to find that while you were away your lottery numbers came up and you missed out on a life-changing prize.

Even if you’re not going abroad, if you play the Mega Millions or Powerball Lottery you do need to ensure you can play the games interstate, or again you might miss out on a fantastic prize.
