The Luck of the Irish with Euromillions.

It’s been said that 750 times more likely to be hit by an asteroid than to win theNational Lottery but it doesn’t stop us all trying every week, choosing our lucky numbers and keeping our fingers crossed in hope of that elusive multi-million pound jackpot. I tend to be a sucker for the Euromillions lottery over our own National Lottery and maybe if I want to be a big winner I should move to Ireland which is fast becoming one of the hotspots for Euromillions winners.
It seems someone has the luck of the Irish with Euromillions this month as a massive €15 million Euromillion jackpot has just been claimed there. A National Lottery spokesman stated that a family group of two collected the winnings from the company’s Dublin office. There’s no doubting Ireland really do seem to have the luck proclaimed by this age old adage with this being the 3rd Euromillions jackpot to strike the lucky country since draws began in 2004.
The very lucky winning Euromillions ticket, a €9 quick pick ticket was bought at a terminal at the The Abbey stores in Carrickbeg, Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary but was unclaimed at the time and rumours were circulating that it had been won by an American businessman on a trip to Ireland, this has proved untrue now the real winner has come forward to claim.
This amazing Euromillions win came less than a week after a syndicate of 16 workers from a concrete and quarry plant in Bennekerry, Co Carlow scooped an astounding win of almost €19 million. I can only say I’m glad I wasn’t the manager sorting out the staffing that Monday morning following the winning Euromillions draw.
The biggest Euromillions lottery win for the country still remains the lucky Limerick woman Dolores McNamara who scooped a breathtaking €115 million in the Euromillions draw during 2005.
So it seems if you want to increase your chances of winning an amazing Euromillions prize, you should be rubbing your lucky shamrock, kissing the Blarney stone and hoping YOU have the luck of the Irish on this Fridays Euromillions draw.
