Syndicate are porn shop lottery winners

After the furore last week about who may be holding the Powerball Lottery ticket purchased in a sex shop, it transpires today that a syndicate are the porn shop lottery winners, with one of the syndicate stepping forward to claim the prize. You get the feeling the Powerball Lottery syndicate drew short straws for the publicity as the remaining lottery syndicate members have chosen to remain anonymous. Michigan Lottery rules state that lottery winners have to make themselves known and this could always be an issue if you’ve bought lottery tickets in a sex shop.
Mike Greer was the Powerball Lottery syndicate member who stepped forward to claim the prize, with the other syndicate members remaining anonymous. Personally we can’t blame them. Lottery tickets from a porn shop? It’s one of the weirdest world lottery stories we’ve ever come across.
It would seem Mr Greer is sworn to secrecy, the only details he would release is that the Powerball Lottery syndicate had more than two members and less than one hundred. He also said they would be donating some of the winnings to a religious group, for their sins.
The lottery syndicate is taking the $128 million Powerball Lottery win as a lump-sum payment and so will share around $69 million before taxes.
