Staggering $206 Million Powerball Prize unclaimed

If you bought tickets for Saturdays Powerball Lottery it’s time to check those tickets, as one lucky ticketholder is holding a ticket sold for Saturdays Powerball draw that matched all six numbers and the staggering $206 million prize is unclaimed. The ticket was sold in New Mexico and Lottery officials are still waiting to see if anyone will come forward with the winning ticket to claim the prize.
The Powerball numbers for the draw held Saturday September 27th were 13, 24, 29, 40 and 52. Just one ticket matched all six numbers winning the staggering $206.9 million Powerball rollover jackpot. Lottery officials say the ticket was sold in the state of New Mexico and this is the fifth and biggest big win from the state since they joined the multistate Powerball network back in October 1996.
Back in November 200 a syndicate of 14 players shared a massive $131 million win, this was until now the biggest Powerball win for the state of New Mexico.
The Multistate Powerball Lottery has been running in its existing form since April 1992 when it replaced the Lotto America draw and changed format. To win the Powerball jackpot you must match six numbers between 1 and 55 to the six numbers drawn in the Powerball draw.
The Powerball Lottery often rolls over and has created some huge winners since its launch. If you are lucky enough to win the jackpot you can choose the annuity payment which pays the total in 25 yearly instalments or the cash option which is far lower than the original lottery amount after taxes have been paid.
