From today South African Lottery tickets will rise by R1 up to R3,50 in a much complained about move for the lottery. There's lots of other changes too and a bumper jackpot to look forward to this weekend
Gidani, the South African Lottery operator have defended the price change by saying that it will give the lottery a chance to offer even more life changing jackpots to its customers and make even more dreams come true.

In another change for the South African Lottery from April the lottery will be beamed from SABC’s three television stations and another 13 radio stations offering nationwide lottery coverage.
It means that the radio and television stations have almost total coverage of the South African Lottery which means that as many South Africans as possible will be able to be involved. Gidani have signed with SABC and the terms of the deal show that the lottery will be shown on Wednesday evenings between 9.30pm and 9.35 and Saturday evenings between 9pm and 9.30pm.
The South African Lottery Scratch show ‘Wina Manja’ will be shown every Monday evening on SABC1 from 6.30pm to 7pm with winning numbers shown on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
It’s a huge change for the lottery and many South African Lottery players are very unhappy with the price rise. There is a sweetener however as the jackpot this Saturday is a special one and will be worth R20 million. To play in this South African Lottery draw just click the banner above.
