Often, when we bring you news of South African Lottery draws, it’s to highlight problems and grievances. However, today a South African Lottery grant to fund a youth festival has been revealed and it’s worth a massive R40 million. The South African Lottery are one of lowest profile of our world lottery draws, but a concerted effort into creating more money for good causes, is bringing the lottery up to standard.
The 17th World Festival of Youth and Students will cost R69 million to host, however, the National Youth Development Agency have now said that R40 million of that is to come from funding from the South African lottery. With the government promising to make up the extra funds, planning is well underway for the festival.

The festival is now expected to start next week, with up to 30,000 youngsters expected to attend and it’s all thanks to lottery funding. In the UK, we take much for granted, especially the huge amount of good causes cash raised by the UK National Lottery. By playing world lottery draws you are not only giving yourself the chance to win some big lottery jackpots, but you are also helping worthwhile causes such as this one, making such a difference to the lives of young South Africans.
The next South African Lottery draw takes place tomorrow evening and after a midweek winner, the jackpot for that draw is R2 million. Good luck if you’re buying tickets for any of our world lottery draws over the weekend, don’t forget to check back for all the news and results!
