Shopkeepers Shock at Lottery Win

I’m sure we’ve all done it, had times when we’ve not checked our lottery numbers and just handed the ticket over to the shopkeeper. Well imagine one Shopkeepers shock at a lottery win worth £7.4 million. The unnamed lottery winner went into the David Sands store in Perth on Sunday to get her ticket checked and found she was a £7.4 million winner. The shopkeeper then recommended she contact Camelot about such a big win.
The winner is believed to be local but is unnamed as she has asked to remain anonymous, although Camelot – the National Lottery organisers – have confirmed there was a £7.4 million win in the area but will not reveal the winners name as they have requested no publicity.

The shopkeeper told of another winner who came in to buy a National Lottery scratch card just a few days ago and won £1,000, so it seems the shop is very lucky.
It’s not just the shop that is lucky either, in a recent survey it was revealed that Perthshire is the luckiest place in Scotland for National Lottery wins and the sixth luckiest place in Britain. In fact since the launch of the UK National Lottery in 1994 players from the Perth area have scooped £25 million in National Lottery wins.
Of course had the lucky lady played her National Lottery numbers online she could have retained her anonymity further as the National Lottery contact you if you are a winner so you don’t even need to check your numbers at the shop. Not only that but play online and your tickets are always safe, it is by far the safest and most secure way to play the National Lottery.
