Second time lucky for Euromillions winners

Susan and Lee Mullen aren’t big earners, and so when they had a baby daughter to look after they decided to stop buying tickets for the UK National Lottery and bought nappies instead. A wise choice certainly, but the very first week they didn’t play their six lottery numbers came in, leaving the couple feeling devastated and very unlucky indeed. However, it seems it’s second time lucky for the Euromillions winners as they win a share in the £24 million rollover jackpot.
If you’re a believer in fate then I guess you would say that Susan and Lee Mullen were destined to win big. The thought that a UK player could have their lottery numbers and Euromillions numbers come in is quite astonishing. This Euromillions win will of course more than make up for missing out in the lottery jackpot but it doesn’t make the story any less astonishing!

Now the couple can hardly believe their luck, knowing they’ll never have any money worries again. Susan and Lee Mullen held one of five winning lottery tickets from last weekend’s Euromillions draw, sharing the £24 million jackpot and collecting £4.8 million. It’s quite clear that Mrs Mullen can’t wait to go shopping, her husband however is taking a different approach, keeping his 14-year old Ford Mondeo to keep him grounded.
It’s an extraordinary story and just shows that even if you miss out, you may not be so unlucky after all!
The next UK Lotto draw is tonight and the estimated jackpot for that draw is £2.4 million. On Friday evening the Euromillions draw takes place and that has an estimated £12 million jackpot, if you’re playing from the UK.
