It would mean that Mr and Mrs Hogg would get double the amount from the Irish Lottery syndicate than the other members and the syndicate are not happy to go along with this. They now want to cut her out of the cash completely and give the extra £1,000 to charity.
The syndicate started over ten years ago under the agreement that any large wins would be split eleven ways, they even for the school’s deputy headteacher to witness and sign their syndicate agreement.
A legal expert has now stepped in to say that Mrs Hogg has no rightful share of the win as she only acted as an administrator but unfortunately it means that a lifelong group of friendships and an lottery agreement has been broken.
