Powerball winner still to come forward
10th April 2010 12:50 AM
Last month we brought you news that the $211 million Powerball Lottery winner was from New Jersey but the Powerball winner is still to come forward, an entire month later. The multi-rollover jackpot for the draw was £211,700,000 for the draw held on March 13th but the lottery winner still has not come forward to claim the prize. New Jersey has only been part of the Powerball Lottery since January and it would be a shame if their first big winner didn’t claim their prize.
The Powerball Lottery draw in question was held on March 13th 2010, St Patrick’s Day, if that jogs anyone memory and players in the state of New Jersey are being encouraged to check places where unchecked lottery tickets may be.
It’s possible that the Powerball Lottery winner is staying secret on purpose. They could be a syndicate deciding how to split up the cash and other aspects, or possibly a winner who has to decide whether to take the cash option or annuity, the ticket could even be lost, although let’s hope that’s not the case.
The winning numbers in the March 13th Powerball Lottery draw were 6 – 16 – 20 – 31 – 36, the Powerball was 8. The unclaimed lottery ticket was purchased at Gene’s Market and Deli, 163 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, New Jersey and although it’s not known the time or date of purchase it is hoped that little bit of information may job someone’s memory.
A month is a long time to wait to claim a lottery prize, let’s hope a winner comes forward soon.
