Powerball jackpot at $20 million

Currently the Powerball jackpot is at $20 million after the Wednesday evening draw failed to bring forward a grand prize winner. Despite their being no jackpot winners in Wednesdays draw their where a number of winners who took away some quite substantial amounts of money. Prizes won on Wednesday included 18 tickets that matched 4 numbers and the Powerball and took home $10,000 each.
Four other tickets also had the Power Play bonus which meant their $10,000 prizes where multiplied by 4. In total there were 354,063 winners in the Wednesday Powerball draw we shared over $5.3 million in prize money.

A ticket bought in Indiana and one in Pennsylvania managed to match all 5 balls and had the Power Play attached making both tickets worth $800,000 each. Four tickets, one from Delaware, one from Indiana, one from Kentucky and the other from Missouri all managed to match 5 balls to scoop $200,000 each.
In total their were 73,795 winners who had paid their $1 extra when buying their tickets to use the Power Play option and saw their winnings multiplied by four.
The numbers for the Powerball draw on Wednesday were 2, 12, 17, 48, 54 with a Powerball number of 2; the Power Play multiplier was 4.
With no big winner this leaves the Powerball jackpot at $20 million for the draw for tonight. The game is played in 29 states, the Virgin Islands and the District of Columbia.
Who knows Saturday could see one, or several winners, celebrating winning the $20 million Powerball jackpot.
