Police Seek California Lotto Thief

Scratchcard The local police seek a California Lotto thief after a spate of scratch card robberies in the Sacramento area. The thief is thought to have stolen thousands of dollars worth of instant win scratch cards in the area during as many as fourteen burglaries in the area in recent months. Police and the lottery are appealing for information and have put out a description of the thief.

The tickets have been stolen from stores in the Sacramento and Bay areas of California. He is thought to have distracted clerks at several stores and then made off with the tickets although unbeknown to him he cannot actually cash any tickets after the theft is discovered as they are flagged as stolen and show up on the terminal wherever he tries to cash them.
