Pennsylvania Ticket wins Powerball Lottery

One lucky Pennsylvania Ticket won the Powerball Lottery taking home a staggering $58.6 million lottery jackpot. The winner can choose the lump sum payment of just over $30 million or choose the take the annuity option of the entire prize over the next 29 years. The winning numbers for Wednesdays Powerball Lottery were 20, 30, 37, 50 and 52, the Powerball was 33.
Most players choose to take the lump sum option but in the present climate it has been known for more players to be choosing the annuity option on lottery payments.
The Pennsylvania ticket holder wasn’t the only lucky player in Wednesdays Powerball Lottery with two players, one in Colorado and one in Iowa scooping $200,000. One player in Minnesota matched four numbers and used the Powerplay option and picked up $20,000 and another forty-two players in the state won $10,000. There were over 400,000 lucky players across the participating states from top level winners, right down to small winners.
The next Powerball draw will take place at 10.59 EST this Saturday evening and the jackpot is an estimated $15 million, or $7.7 million if the cash option is taken. Tickets are just $1 each and to win the Powerball Lottery you must match the five main balls choosing numbers between 1 and 55 and the Powerball number chosen from numbers between 1 and 42.
