One winner scoops the Mega Millions

Mega MillionsIt’s been weeks without a winner and the jackpot has been steadily growing in the Mega Millions jackpot. Friday night saw the jackpot hit a $133 million high and with high ticket sales and bumper jackpot it was never going to be long before a winner was found. Friday’s draw went off without a hitch and also found a winner as one winner scoops the Mega Millions Lottery jackpot.

The winning ticket for the Mega Millions Lottery was sold in the Long Beach area of California and matched all the winning numbers and the Mega Ball in Friday night’s Mega Millions Lottery draw.

Of course the Mega Millions Lottery is taxable and that means that this winning lottery player will collect a lot less than the $133 million jackpot, add to that the amount lost by taking the lottery winnings as a lump sum and it knocks a fair bit off the jackpot.

We’re assuming the lottery winner won’t be complaining too much however as the jackpot, even after taxes will still be a sizeable amount.

Tuesdays Mega Millions Lottery jackpot will now be reset to the base jackpot and is an estimated $12 million. If you do want a bumper jackpot to play for this week then you might want to look at the other big American jackpot. Wednesdays Powerball Lottery jackpot is an estimated $170 to a single winning player as that jackpot has also been rolling over for as long as the Mega Millions Lottery, yet with this one not yet producing a winner, there’s still every chance you might end up a big lottery winner.
